Singing Tour: Update #3

The tour is now over, the Motor home is returned to its owner, the sound system is packed away, but the memories linger on.  Looking back over those two incredible weeks, its hard to believe we actual did that.  This will definitely go down in family history as one of the best trips ever.  Its been almost a month since we got back, but I still have all these pictures and thought I'd share them with you.  Hope you enjoy.
The beautiful Buffalo Mountain Presbyterian Church that we sang at on Tuesday evening.

Elmer & Barbie
Daddy & Mama (they weren't visitors, but I liked the picture :)
It was always so much fun to have visitors from home... Thanks to all of you!  The evening at Buffalo Mountain, Elmer & Barbie and Mannie & Kathryn joined us.  It made for a very exciting evening!

And lots of help carrying sound system, and instruments!

Sound check
Pre-concert wardrobe adjustments

Then on to the next concert location... Even though we did a LOT of traveling, it never got old, we could spread out, take naps, read, eat candy, or play games etc.

Big Laurel Church, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains - The unloading "scene".
And of course...the weather was just to nice to stay inside the camper the whole time when we were traveling.  So whenever we had a change to be outside, we jumped for it (literally :).

The RV repair crew hard at work...
"In the RV checking out the candy box!"
John Omar & Priscilla Lapp joined us for the program in South Boston...thanks for coming and supporting us!
"deep discussions, deep in the mountains"... Volleyball in the background.

"Group picture time..." Not shown are Mama (who took the picture) and Jesse & Margaret.
Mel & Kate Stoltzfus joined us for the program in West Virginia...after the morning service we had lunch together, and spent the afternoon playing volleyball...
Another pretty little church we sang at...
Monday morning, we had an awesome time singing for the chapel service at the school where Margaret is teaching.   The students were so attentive and "into" it.
"Set up time!"
"Sound Check"

"The Program"...
"Mr Accountant"
"Mr Driver"
"Mr Soundman"
One afternoon, we needed to burn off some pent up energy, so we played several very exhausting games of 2 on 2 volleyball.   How cool is that, playing volleyball on a Wednesday afternoon!

"Arriving at the church, our last one of the trip"
Ok, so the next series of pictures are from our sound check time before the last program.  By this time, we were fairly comfortable with the system, and well, ummm, feeling the need to unwind...what more can I say?

Cranking the "player piano" (and no, that is NOT a typo).  Also, Joshua is NOT itching his elbow, don't ask me what he is doing???

"Sibling cooperation", or maybe "un-cooperation"??
"Our time with technology while we have service"!
After the last program, we packed up the sound system for the last time, loaded up the trailer, and headed out into the night.  Our destination:  Home, Sweet Home.   We arrived home early morning (think 3:00 am).  We grabbed couple hours of sleep in our own familiar beds, before unpacking our suitcases only to repack them again right away for the Light of Hope Prison Crusade.  But thats another whole post in itself...so I won't go into that right now.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, come back soon for some recent (and some not so recent) photoshoots!
