2015 Singing Tour:

In less then 24 hours, our family is leaving on a two week Singing tour.  Our travels will take us down into the mountains of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.   Need I say... We.Are.Excited! {and thats an understatement}

     This trip is really a dream come true for us boys.  A dream born a number of years ago, on a family vacation in north western PA.  One afternoon, a number of us cousins were feeling adventurous, so we went exploring around the property. We found a quaint little church building in a picturesque clearing at the top of the hill.  We needed a rest, so went inside, and found seats on the pews. In the course of the discussion, someone mentioned how fun it would be to sing in a little church like this.  And the idea of singing for small mountain churches was born.
     On the way home the next afternoon, we discussed the possibility of actually doing this tour.  And pretty much came to the conclusion that it would never happen.
     Several years went by, and life went on.  Then, last year, Jesse & Margaret started dating {cheers}.  Margaret's grandparents live in North Carolina, and their church is a small church in up in the mountains....Wait!!!  little church? in the mountains?          Now, hundreds of phone calls and emails later...this "dream" is actually becoming a reality.
      We are really excited about the opportunity to do this as a family.  At the same time, its going to be a really full two weeks, with programs everyday except one, and thousands of miles to travel.
      Several prayer requests:
           1. For protection as we travel.
           2. For our voices.  That they'll hold up in the rather intense singing schedule. A number of us boys have been dealing with sore throats and colds the last week or so.
           3. That the people that we sing for would be encouraged and drawn to a closer walk with the Lord.
           4.  That God would receive all the glory due His name!

     Tomorrow, we will be packing up, and then heading out sometime in the late afternoon.  We will spend the night in Harrisonburg, VA... and then drive down to North Carolina on Saturday morning.  And our first program will be Saturday evening, and then we'll have two on Sunday.  I'll try to get a schedule posted here soon...but thats a brief overview of the next several days.  Thanks to each of you for your prayers and support, its is a tremendous blessing!
Stay tuned for more updates coming soon {as time and wifi permit}.
Until then, I'd love to hear from you... ~ Jordan
